25 Arrested on Drug Charges in Fremont Co.

The owner of a popular Riverton restaurant is among 25 people arrested in Fremont County today for allegedly distributing drugs. The arrests were made after a two year investigation called "Operation Angry Sun". 
38-year-old Gerardo Rico, owner of Austin's Steak House on Federal Boulevard in Riverton, is facing five different counts that include delivering marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine. 
Rico's arrest along with 24 others were part of "Operation Angry Sun". 
A special grand jury indicted a total of 35 people on various drug distribution charges including the distribution of cocaine, meth, marijuana and prescription medication. The investigation was organized by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation with assistance from the Fremont and Park County Sheriff's offices, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Riverton, Powell and Lander police departments. 
The arrests began with raids at 6 o'clock this morning.
