Police: Alleged Bank Robber Apologized to Teller

The man charged with robbing the downtown branch of Hilltop National Bank in February will have his case moved to district court.

Michael Sanders is facing charges including aggravated robbery as well as possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.  Sanders told police that on February 25 he dropped his girlfriend off at work in Bar Nunn and then drove to Hilltop where he allegedly threatened a teller with a kitchen knife and demanded all large bills.

According to a detective with the Casper Police Department, Sanders said "sorry" to the teller as he left the bank with about 2,300 dollars in cash.
