Plane Still Missing In Western Wyoming
by The Associated Press,
PINEDALE, Wyo. (AP) - There's still no break in the weather to allow the aerial search to continue for a small plane with only the pilot aboard that's gone missing in western Wyoming.
The Cessna 182 left Stevensville, Mont., Saturday and had been due in Pinedale that afternoon but didn't arrive.
Sublette County Public Information Officer Steve Smith says the sheriff's department and other groups searched Sunday near the Sublette and Lincoln county line.
Smith says radar lost track of the plane over upper Hoback Canyon, between Jackson and Boundurant. He says dozens of searchers were out on Sunday, walked through fresh snow and patrolling in aircraft.
Smith says the air search with resume Monday if the weather clears. He says searchers are combing the area on foot and by snow machine.
