Attempted Poisoning Case Moves Forward

The case against an 18-year-old Natrona County Woman accused of trying to poison her step-mother with eye drops will move forward into district court.
Authorities say she sneaked about 20-bottles of Visine eye drops into the stepmother's coffee and teas over a four month period. Alexis Jennings is charged with aggravated assault.
The stepmother was hospitalized twice for difficulty breathing and other symptoms, before she confronted Jennings. Court documents says Jennings was upset at her stepmother for comments she made about a boyfriend.
The stepmother reportedly found out about the poisoning attempt in a phone call, and went to police.
Jennings later turned herself in, and authorities say she confessed to the crime.
