The Wyoming Supreme Court has turned down the appeal of a former highway patrol trooper convicted of exposing himself to a 5-year-old girl.

The high court rejected Jay Gruwell's argument that the victim was not competent to testify against him.

Gruwell also claimed that testimony by an expert witness on the pyschology of forced confessions should have been allowed.

Gruwell is serving a four to seven year sentence for the crime.
