A former employee of a Casper assisted living facility is accused of taking advantage of a 100-year old man.
Malgorzata Burns, who was a nursing assistant at Shepherd of the Valley, allegedly used the resident's money to pay thousands of dollars in personal bills.
Burns appeared in court Thursday morning for a preliminary hearing where a judge moved her case to district court.
The victim's doctor describes the man as having advanced dementia, and says he would never have given permission for someone to use his accounts.
Burns is charged with four counts of forgery and exploitation of a vulnerable adult. Court documents show at least 17 charges were made from the victims account by Burns.
Burns' bond was continued at $5,000.
