A man has pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault after allegedly punching his girlfriend in the face and breaking her jaw in several places.
Kiyon Brown made his initial appearance in district court Friday afternoon, denying charges that he allegedly attacked his girlfriend and her sister after a night of drinking on January 26th. Brown's girlfriend received immediate reconstructive jaw surgery following the incident.
Brown faces up to ten years in prison and his bond remained at $25,000 after his attorney asked for a reduction to $5,000. He still remains on federal probation because of cocaine possession charges stemming from 2009.
