A train collided with a vehicle early Thursday morning in Eastern Natrona county, sending one man to the hospital. Deputies say the 46 year old driver was treated for non life threatening head injuries.

Natrona County Sheriffs Deputies say the train was traveling East near Cole Creek when the engineer saw an SUV on the tracks. Traveling just under 40 miles per hour, the train reportedly made all attempts to slow down and warn the car by blowing its horn. The train then collided into driver's side door of the Honda Pilot SUV.

The man told deputies his vehicle had stalled on the train tracks.

No damage to the train was reported, however traffic was blocked off on the nearby road.

After nearly four hours of clean up efforts, the train was allowed to leave.
