The station has been purchased by Yellowstone Holdings LLC which is part of FrontierRadio Management Inc. The three satellites included in the deal are KCHY-LP Cheyenne, KSWY-LP Sheridan, and K14LK Laramie. FrontierRadio also recently purchased stations in Twin Falls and Pocatello, Idaho for a reported $1 million.

KCWY was sold under Bozeman Trail Communications. Bozeman Trail is owned by the Intermountain West Communications Company. Intermountain recently sold NBC-affiliate KYMA-DT in Yuma, Arizona as well.
