West Shows Improvement In Poverty

The west was the only region to show statistical improvement when it comes to poverty, according to the US census bureau. Nationwide the average is 15 percent which is actually lower than the average in the west, by a 10th of a percent. Potentially contributing to the improvement....median income improved from 2011 to 2012 in the western region, compared to a slight drop nationwide. The Central Wyoming Rescue Mission assists in getting people back on their feet first hand. Income is down  8.3% since 2007, the year before we entered into the economic recession.
