Two Wyoming Walmart stores including one here in Casper were targets of bomb threats Tuesday. According to Casper police, a male scammer called the manager of the east side Walmart around noon yesterday - demanding money, with the threat of setting off a bomb in the store. The scammer reportedly told the manager to put the money on a prepaid card, then pass along the card numbers so he could get the money. Police say the Laramie Walmart had a similar bomb threat shortly before one yesterday afternoon. Authorities there say the Walmart was evacuated, but that customers were allowed to return a couple of hours later. The office of homeland security and the Cheyenne office of the FBI were contacted to assist with the investigation. They say they are aware of similar incidents around the country.
