Roosevelt High School Evacuated

Students were evacuated from Roosevelt High School in Casper this afternoon after faculty members say an airborne contaminant was found in the building.

At around 1 p.m., three students and an adult complained about burning eyes, skin and throats.

After an investigation, the Casper Fire Department determined that it was a form of pepper spray.

All classes and activities were closed for the rest of the day as a precaution, while the school worked to decontaminate the building.

School is expected to resume as normal tomorrow (Wednesday).
