The verdict is in, in the trial against a man accused of first degree attempted murder. Zachariah Johnson has been found guilty on all four counts charged against him, including attempted first degree murder, aggravated burglary, conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary and aggravated assault and battery. Johnson is one of the two men who went into Robert Masterson's home, stabbed him multiple times, including in the lungs and stomach and robbed the 60 year old in march of last year. The other man, Robert Simmons has already pleaded guilty for his role in the attack, and is serving 20-25 years. The jury took about an hour to come to their guilty decision, which came down at around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Cameras were not allowed in the courtroom for the trial, but as the verdict was read, Johnson remained stoic, looking back occasionally, before he was cuffed, and taken away. The public defenders representing Johnson declined to comment on the case. They did appear to be rather emotional as they left the courtroom. Johnson is being held without bond, and faces life behind bars.
