Alleged Infant-Killer Pleads

This morning in court, the Mills teen charged with killing an infant told the judge he was not responsible.

This past April, an autopsy on the 7-month-old suggested 19-year-old Matthew Hankins caused it brain injury by squeezing and shaking its head when it wouldn't go to sleep.

He is report to be the live-in boyfriend of the baby's mother.

He admitted to being then under the influence of Marijuana and Xanax.

But today during his court arraignment, he pleaded not guilty to his charges of first and second degree murder, and possession of drugs.

Hankins is held on a $500,000 bond.
