Yellowstone Will Be Busy This Holiday Weekend
For those of you heading to Yellowstone this weekend, snow, mud and high water has made many back country areas of the park inaccessible.
But a park spokesman says all Yellowstone attractions and lodging are open and the park expects a typical July 4th, which means very busy.
The park says says rooms and campsites are expected to be full except for the the Lewis Lake campground which will be closed because of snow and water.
But they warn, some trails and back country camping areas will be closed due to snow, mud or flooding.
The most remote areas of the park's southeast and southwest corners are where the greatest access problems occur.
The park says back country users should check with park visitor centers and back country offices for details.
