Platte River Sheen Source Still Unknown

BP and Wyoming Regulators say they still have not found the source of oil sheen that periodically appear on the North Platte River in Casper.

The sheen first appeared in spring last year.

This year they have been larger and more frequent.

Regulators and BP agreed last month to test drill wells and make visual observations around the former Amoco Refinery.

The Wyoming DEW says BP will report on initial findings from some of the wells this month and then release a larger report in August.
