Fire Breaks Out in Casper


A grass fire that broke out in Casper this afternoon is now mostly contained. 

According to the Casper Fire Department a three to five acre wildfire began around 3 o'clock in a field near the corner of Beverly and 24th. 

They say the fire will continue to burn for the next couple hours, but the majority of it is contained. 
    
No homes or people are threatened. 
    
Officials are calling the fire an accident. 
    
When asked if any people were in the area at the time of the fire, a spokesman declined to comment, but they said no citations will be issued.
