Enzi Applauds S. Korea Trade Agreement

Senator Mike Enzi says the new free trade agreement with South Korea will help open markets for Wyoming beef producers. Enzi believes the agreement will increase overall US beef exports to the Asian country by as much as $1.8 billion.
The senator adds that new business with South Korea could mean more exports to other Asian countries as well.
The agreement signed yesterday by President Obama will gradually eliminate the 40% tariff that South Korea has been adding to the price of American Beef. Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis says the deal will also bring new business opportunities for other US products.
President Obama, meanwhile, says it is good for both countries. The president and First Lady are hosting the Korean President today in Washington. The visit wraps up with a state dinner at the white house.
