Ghosts Sweep Owlz, Using the Long Ball
It was a historic night for Casper Ghosts catcher Will Swanner Monday. Swanner became the first player in Ghost history to hit three home runs in one game. He started a parade in the first inning with a three-run knock that gave the Ghosts an early lead. When the Ghosts squandered a seven-to-two lead and the game headed to extra innings, his heroics were just starting. In the 13th his single kept the inning alive as Casper rallied for three runs to tie the game. And, then in the 15th he hit his third of the night, a lead-off, walk-off shot that sealed a wild 13-to-12 win and a sweep of the series with the Owlz.
