Cheyenne / Laramie Reporter
Kristin Kasper moved to the "Cowboy" state in September of 2013 to become a Production Assistant for the K2 News at 5, 6, and 10. In November, she happily accepted a position as the new Cheyenne/Laramie bureau reporter.
Kristin graduated in 2013 from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. While attending UW-W, Kristin anchored, produced, and reported at her campus news station, as well as interned at Today's TMJ4 in Milwaukee. She has always had a passion for news writing and storytelling. She is excited to put her knowledge and skills to use in Wyoming's capitol city!
As a Wisconsin native, Kristin is proud to be a cheesehead. (Go Pack!) Although she is not a stranger to the snow and cold, she will probably never get used to the trademark Wyoming wind! Despite her fear of driving over tumbleweeds, Kristin truly enjoys living in the "Cowboy" state and the friendly and welcoming community she has found here.
When Kristin isn't writing or reporting the news, she is probably out riding her 1986 Honda Nighthawk (motorcycle), singing opera in her car, or watching/performing with her other true love; the theater.
Kristin is grateful for the opportunity to work as part of the K2 News team. And of course, she would love to hear from you! Please email her with any suggestions, ideas, tips, or even just to chat.
