A Casper man will spend eleven to eighteen years in prison for beating his pregnant girlfriend last May.
Camden Lawlis was charged with kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend at the time, Samantha Blackstock, who just recently gave birth to their twins.
Lawlis trembled and wept in court Thursday afternoon, as the District Attorney showed photos and relived the scene on May 12th. Letters containing evidence were also provided to the court of Lawlis begging Blackstock to take back some of her statements.
Along with Lawlis' prison sentence, he is required to pay almost $2,000 in restitution to Blackstock.
