Crews have found the wreckage of a missing Texas plane that was carrying four people from Texas to Casper. There were no survivors.
Albany County Undersheriff Rob Debree says the plane was found in pieces on the South face of Laramie Peak on Thursday night.
The plane was carrying four people on a business trip from Marshall, Texas. The single-engine Piper Saratoga was registered to Texas resident Chuck Ford, who was reportedly among those on board.
Search efforts began Tuesday night after the plane did not make a scheduled landing in Casper. The last known contact with the plane was about 60 miles Southeast of Casper in the Laramie Range.
At the height of the search, 40 ground personnel, two Civil Air Patrol planes, and an Air Force helicopter were involved.
Debree says crews will recover the wreckage early Friday morning.
