Annual River Flushing Benefits Fish & AnglersSubmitted By: Liz Cooper, LCooper@K2TV.com
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is warning sportspeople that the North Platte River will rise drastically for the next 10 days.
It begins March 22nd as part of a flushing flow project.
The river will rise in some places of the North Platte from ankle deep water to waste deep.
During that time sediments are flushed through the river and this will benefit the trout that are getting ready to lay eggs next month.
