CFD Sales Up From Last Year

CFD ticket sales are up from last year despite high gas prices.

With the highest net income since 1999, last year's big "Daddy of 'em All" was a hit to say the least.

And sales are already up for this year.

"We're up about 3% overall on our rodeo and up slightly more than that on the night shows," CFD CEO Dan Cheney said. "With the great entertainment line-up that we have this year, it's not surprising to see how well we've done so far."

This comes even with gas prices continuing to soar.

"People are going to travel no matter what the gas prices are," Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites G.M. Judy Cuthbertson said.

"I think there will be some people that want to stay closer to home this year," Cheney said. "So we anticipate that we might be the entertainment of choice."

Zac Brown Band is the hot ticket this year thus far with just standing room tickets left. But all shows are selling quick.

"I encourage you not to wait until the last minute this year because we do have some shows that might sell out."

The same holds true for hotel rooms as well.

"We are getting phone calls now trying to book," Cuthbertson said. "We're already booked on several days. I would say we're starting to get really pushing it for not having anything in Cheyenne at this time."

While rooms are filling up and tickets are selling fast, just keep one thing in mind.

"Still lots of tickets left for every show," Cheney said.
