A Florida man wanted for faking his own death and failing to appear in court is in the process of returning to face the law after being found in Park County last month. 50-year-old David Lashley has been handed over the US Coast Gaurd to be extradited back to Florida.
On May 20th Lashley was located in the small town of Clark near the Wyoming-Montana border after fleeing there from Florida. While in Florida he allegedly sunk a house boat in an attempt to fake his own death.
Prior to that, Lashley was already wanted on charges of obscene communication and attempted sexual battery on a victim under 12 years old.
He may also face charges of "unlawful flight to avoid prosecution" and fugitive in possession of a firearm.
