Sheep Herder Hill Fire One Year Later

Submitted By: Liz Cooper, LCooper@K2TV.com

One year ago today, the historic Sheep Herder Hill fire broke out on Casper Mountain.

Nearly 15,000 acres were scorched and over 30 structures destroyed.

On September 9th, panic struck in the Sheep Wagon area.

As you drive around today, you can see the amount of damage near homes and along the roads.

But mother nature is slowly healing the burnt area.
