Big news out of Washington, a decision was made in the 11th hour regarding the government shutdown. After 16 days of a shutdown and the government close to its borrowing limit, congress has reached a bipartisan deal. Senate leaders Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell announced Wednesday night a plan that would reopen the government and avoid a default.
Meanwhile, K2's Andrew Lofholm spoke with Wyoming's lone representative today while the senate was in session, awaiting her turn to vote on the deal to avoid the shutdown. Lummis says she was confident a vote would be reached and pass.
