Alleged Inappropriate Behavior on JV Football Team

A source has confirmed a football player from the Star Valley JV team was attacked and assaulted on the teams' bus a few weeks ago. The source also says the coaches have been suspended, two boys were expelled and another has disenrolled. According to the school superintendent and the Lincoln County sheriff, an investigation is ongoing at this time. This incident involves juveniles, therefore limited details are being released at this time. The school superintendent says the incident happened on the JV football team's bus. Lincoln county sheriff Shane Johnson confirms they are interviewing numerous people at this time and should have the investigation wrapped up by the end of this week. Sheriff  Johnson says they are still waiting to determine if criminal charges will be filed. According to superintendent Abrams, no one has been fired at this time and have not had any discussions about firing any individuals. The victim's mother wants the boy who came forward and alerted authorities of the situation, to know that he is a hero... and more kids need to keep an eye out for one another. She adds she hopes other kids can learn from this situation and says something positive had to come out of this terrible situation for her family.
