Coleman to Receive Mental Evaluation

The court proceedings for a man accused of killing a Casper teen in a high speed chase last week will be delayed, as Scott Coleman will receive an evaluation at the Wyoming State Hospital to assess his mental competency before a preliminary hearing can take place.

Last week, authorities say Coleman led a state trooper on a high speed chase that reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour. Highway patrol says Coleman hit a pole and fatally struck 18-year-old Jeremy Webb before slamming into the Goodstein Building.

Coleman's preliminary hearing will likely not happen for another 60 to 90 days.
