Casper Police Chief Chris Walsh Retires

After 23 years with the Casper Police Department, Chief Chris Walsh is turning in his badge today and retiring. Chief Walsh announced he was retiring a few months ago, but today the community came out to support his many years with the department. Chief Walsh spent half his life and his entire law enforcement career with the Casper police. And this evening, officers, elected officials and community members honored his service. Walsh says he plans to enjoy some traveling and time away from law enforcement. Although, he is not completely done in that field. Interim Chief Mark Trimble is taking over for Walsh and has put his name in the hat for the permanent position. We'll have an update on the search for a new Casper police chief on Monday.
