Casper SinkholeSubmitted on June 14th, 2016
Around 5:30 PM on Tuesday, police and construction crews responded to the Poplar-13th Street Intersection for a large sinkhole. When officials arrived, the hole was between 2 and 3 feet long, and a few feet deep. According to officials, the sinkhole was caused from Monday's severe thunderstorms, and a rusty storm sewage pipe beneath the street. Traffic was diverted for hours on Tuesday. Crews hope to have the street re-opened, by Wednesday morning.
