As the city of Casper grows, so does its bus service. Starting this week, The Bus has put new expansions into effect.

Marge Cole, Director of CATC and The Bus, estimates that a total of 40 stops have been added to all of the routes serviced by The Bus.

Service on the Blue Route has been expanded to Hat Six Road in East Casper, and a second bus has been added to the route as well.

Perhaps the biggest change to The Bus has been the addition of fixed route service on Saturdays.

However, door-to-door service on Sundays is no longer being offered. According to Cole, Sunday service was not profitable and was not utilized by enough riders.

The expansions are being paid in part by 1-cent funds from the city, and riders can expect to see no increase in fare rates.
