99th Annual State Fair Kicks Off

K2's Ophelia Young reports, oyoung@k2tv.com:

This year's state fair is the build-up to Wyoming's 100th annual state fair.  This year is the fair's 99th, and fair officials are using it as an opportunity to pump up the community for next year.

It opens tonight with the antique tractor show.  The carnival begins tomorrow.  A demolition derby takes place Saturday and the chute doors to the ranch rodeo swing open Sunday.  A new event, a monster truck show, is held Monday and youth livestock shows are held the rest of next week.

Fair officials are prepared for a successful 99th year, particularly because there have been more fair-goers this summer across the state.
