K2's Ophelia Young reports,

The 5,000 rubber ducks that annually migrate down the North Platte River this time of the year won't make this year's journey.

River levels are just too dangerous, and last year, they lost many brothers.

But they're still promising to somehow bring Casper prizes.  They'll be dropping from a crate onto a huge pyramid with cups.  Each cup indicates a prize.

And they promise, this years duck derby...or drop...will be just as fun as previous years.

The money raised from the duck "drop" will go to a project equally as important as its been in previous years--to maintain the Platte River Parkway and, this year, to fix a part of the parkway damaged by river flooding.
