FOR MANY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, SUMMER INCLUDES HANGING OUT WITH FRIENDS AND WORKING A SUMMER JOB. HOWEVER, FOR ONE KELLY WALSH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT IT INCLUDES WINNING A NATIONAL PAGEANT TITLE FOR THE STATE OF WYOMING.
LAST WEEK MACKENZIE KERN WAS CROWNED "NATIONAL TEEN 2017" IN THE PRINCESS AMERICA PAGEANT. KERN BEAT OUT TEENS FROM ACROSS THE NATION, TAKING HOME A CROWN AND SASH BACK HOME TO THE OIL CITY. AS THE NEW REIGNING "NATIONAL TEEN" KERN'S MAIN FOCUS IS TO RAISE MONEY FOR  "GIVE KIDS THE WORLD", A FOUNDATION THAT WORKS TO BRING CHILDREN WITH LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESSES AND THEIR FAMILIES TO A FLORIDA RESORT TO ENJOY A FREE,WEEK-LONG VACATION. WE HERE AT K2TV WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE KELLY WALSH HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR MACKENZIE KERN ON HER NATIONAL TITLE.
