11/13/17 Stacie's Bakery: Homemade Cranberries

Enough of the canned cranberries! This morning, Stacie from Stacie's Bakery shows us how to make homemade cranberry sauce!


1/2 tsp Course Kosher Salt
1 Bag of Fresh Cranberries
1 1/4 cup of Sugar
2 1/4 tsp Finely Grated Orange Peel
1 Can of Mandarin Oranges
1/4 tsp Ground Ginger

Open, drain and rince mandarin oranges
Boil 1 cup of Water
Add 3/4 of cranberries and cook
Add other ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring often
Cook until cranberries pop and moisture thickens 
Add remaining cranberries 
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until cranberries burst
Transfer sauce to medium bow, cool, cover and refrigerate
