Eldred Looks to Make Mark at Frontier Days

With eight, 90 point rides, Brennon Eldred comes off the road into the capital city. In his last rodeo he rode the 2016 Bull of the Year with the best ride of any cowboy so far.

"It's one I had to win to put myself in contention to win the world title. I knew he would fit me and he is a bucker. He's not the bull of the year for no reason. I know it's my career high score and I have to put it as my best bull ride ever," Eldred said

He is third in the world rankings right now as the reigning champ of CBR, he doesn't feel the target on his back.

"I came in and got the win in Cheyenne. I'd have to say it's my place, I like it a lot," Eldred said.

This Oklahoma cowboy has a theory to the way he rides.

"It's like dancing. You've got to move with the bull. You can't set a trap for him or think he's going to do this. Then he is going to do something else and he's going to put you on your head," Eldred said.

Eldred hopes to find his rhythm tonight out of the shoots.

"Just stay on, just ride him. Get a good score, get off good and get my rope sticky for the next one," Eldred said.
