JOSH MCSWIGGAN COMMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND, A TEAM THAT HE SAYS HAS BEEN IN TOUCH WITH HIM SINCE LAST SUMMER.

THE PILOTS PLAY IN THE WCC, WHICH IS INHABITED BY ST. MARY'S AND ALSO THE NATIONAL FINALIST GONZAGA.

K2 WAS ABLE TO CATCH UP WITH MCSWIGGAN, WHO REFLECTED ON THIS NEW STAGE IN HIS LIFE AS WELL AS THE CHANCE TO PLAY AGAINST SOME OF THE BEST IN COLLEGE HOOPS.

"IT'S A LOT OF WEIGHT LIFTED OFF MY SHOULDERS, COMING BAKC THE GOAL WAS TO GET TO THAT LEVEL AND NOW I FEEL I FINALLY DECIDED WHERE I WANT TO GO IT'S A LOT OF PRESSURE OFF MY SHOULDERS IT'S GIVEN ME A CHANCE TO HAVE A BIT OF RELIEF TO WORK TOWARDS THE NEXT STEP AFTER THAT AND GETTING PRO. IT'S TO PROVE MYSELF I KNOW I CAN PLAY AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL IN THE STATES AND I THINK PLAYING IN THAT CONFERENCE GETS ME THE CHANCE TO PLAY THE NIGEL WILLIAMS-GOSS' AND STUFF LIKE THAT REALLY SHOW WHAT I CAN DO AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL."
