Liz Cooper joined the K2 News Team in September in 2011 as a news reporter.

Liz grew up in the Albany, New York area. She attended Hudson Valley Community College to receive her Associate's Degree in 2006. She then moved to Long Island where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism at Stony Brook University. While attending Stony Brook, she interned as Health Reporter at Capital News 9, YNN, in Albany for a summer and during her last semester she interned in the sports department at NY1, in New York City. Liz was also the first field reporter for the University's television station, SBU-TV.
After graduating, Liz moved to San Diego, California where she took part in "Newscene," a student newscast at City College. She then interned at KFMB, CBS, in San Diego as a writer, editor and weather producer. Shortly after completing her internship, she was ready to make the move to Casper, Wyoming as a full-time reporter.
Liz initially got involved in broadcast journalism to meet new people and tell a wide variety of stories. She loves the fast paced work environment being a reporter and the changing duties from day-to-day. She enjoys "digging up the dirt" for stories, shooting, editing and constantly having her hands on the news story. She is eager to find out what topics are important to Wyoming and what matters most to the Casper community.
When she's not in the newsroom or in the field reporting, Liz loves watching sports and keeping in touch with family and friends via Skype. She has a growing passion for surfing, but now that she's in Casper, she is ready to take her skills to the snow on Casper Mountain to learn how to snowboard.
Liz would love to hear from you and ideas you feel are important to the community and surrounding area.
