Morning / Noon Weather
A lifelong native of Montana, John is no stranger to the oftentimes unpredictable weather in the northern Rockies. After a brief stint in the south attending Harding University in the small town of Searcy, Arkansas, John is excited to be back in the part of the country he knows and loves.
Weather has always been a passion for John, from his early days informing his parents of the patchy valley fog they might encounter on their way to his grandparents' house in Butte, Montana, to his days reporting the weather to Harding University and White County for his campus news station TV-16 News. John graduated from Harding in May 2012 with plans to further his education in meteorology in the near future.
John also served as an intern at FOX-16 News in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he gained experience tracking the state's oftentimes severe spring storms, as well as met many in the community while working with the station's reporters. Additionally, John was awarded the Arkansas Community Service Award in 2012 for Public Service Announcements he helped create for an Arkansas Non-Profit. John has grown familiar with Wyoming, having traveled the state multiple times on road trips and on his way home from college. He is excited to get to experience the outdoors in his home state's beautiful southern neighbor and explore the endless hiking, biking and other outdoor activities located all around.
John looks forward to reporting the weather each weekday on Good Morning Wyoming. Although not yet an expert on being awake at such early hours, he certainly looks forward to giving you an accurate and entertaining forecast to plan out your day. John would love to feature your weather photos from throughout the Cowboy State on air!
