GMW & Noon Meteorologist
Born and raised in Sunnyvale, California, Tyler grew up with a strong passion for the field of meteorology. While in elementary school, Tyler used to beg his teachers to let him be the class forecaster, and succeeded in establishing himself in the position several times. After graduating from Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, California, Tyler left the Golden State for the Garden State, attending Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he majored in Meteorology, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in May, 2015.
While at Rutgers, Tyler served as the Vice President and then President of the University's Meteorology Club while also managing WeatherWatcher, the student-run weather broadcasting division of the Rutgers University Television Network. He even received a commendation for his assistance in providing hourly weather updates when Hurricane Sandy impacted the University in October, 2012.
As an incoming Senior, Tyler was a Weather Presentation Intern at The Weather Channel, based out of Atlanta, Georgia. This opportunity gave him hands on experience handling the graphics during severe weather such as tornado outbreaks and hurricane landfalls. He hopes to put these skills to good use here in Wyoming.
Growing up in the sunny and mild San Francisco Bay Area, Tyler was held captive from snow as a child, and is very excited to help fill this void in the Cowboy State!
