Weekend Sports Anchor
Megan Salle joined the K2 Sports Team in September 2015, after graduating from the State University of New York at Albany. She graduated with a degree in Communications and minors in Journalism and Sociology. After graduation in May, she earned her Certification in Broadcast Journalism from the New School Center for Media in Albany, NY.
Megan is from Syracuse, New York. She grew up watching Syracuse basketball and the New York Yankees. After playing basketball and soccer in high school, sports just stuck with her. At UAlbany, Megan enhanced her skills broadcasting over WCDB student radio for football and basketball games. One of her favorite memories was broadcasting the women basketball team's conference championship as they won their fourth consecutive title. The best sports memory Megan has is from Derek Jeter's last game at Yankee Stadium. When Jeter hit the game winning single, she jumped up and down and high-fived the strangers sitting next to her. What a moment!
Megan has a passion for telling stories. She believes sports are a great avenue to bring real change to the world.
If you want to get her talking about something other than sports, traveling would be a great start. Megan decided to study abroad in Sydney, Australia for a semester of college. Meanwhile across the world, she traveled to Indonesia, New Zealand and Fiji, (yes, they actually sell Fiji water there.)
Megan is excited to start her career at K2. If you see her at the grocery store or at a restaurant, feel free to say hello! She would love to hear from you by email if you have story ideas, comments or critiques.
