Sloan Dickey joined K2tv in February of 2017 as a general news reporter.
He spent three years at The Wall Street Journal in Washington DC covering politics and national affairs. During the presidential election, Sloan spent time on the campaign trail covering speeches, debates and events across the country. His work also took him to Wyoming, covering the Federal Reserve meetings in Jackson.
Prior to his work at WSJ Sloan attended The George Washington University, studying Journalism with K2TV anchor Matthew Seedorff. The two produced and anchored a sports news program at the university television station. At GWU, Sloan was a member of the Colonials sailing team, traveling along the East Coast to compete in regattas.
Originally from Seattle, Sloan is an avid enthusiast for the outdoors. Whether it is sailing, hiking and cycling in the summer, or skiing in the winter, he is excited for what Wyoming has to offer. Sloan also enjoys practicing guitar.
Sloan is very interested in getting to know the Casper community. Feel free to contact him with any news tips, fun events, or outdoor opportunities (sailing?) around the area!
